Build Inspiration—and Build Your Classroom Supply

Do you have an innovative story about how you use ReadWriteThink.org in your classroom? Do you find that your students are more fully engaged and motivated because of ReadWriteThink’s resources? Would you like to share your story for a chance to win $250 for school supplies?

ReadWriteThink.org announces a contest for Community Stories. Community Stories highlight the innovative and inspirational stories of how real users are implementing ReadWriteThink materials in the classroom. One winner will receive $250 to be used toward classroom supplies. Ten runners-up will each receive $50.

Community Stories submissions should include a short story (300-400 words) about how any aspect of ReadWriteThink, IRA, NCTE, or a combination of the three has helped your life and career; some of your favorite tools on the site; and specific tips on how to use ReadWriteThink materials in the classroom. Multimedia materials (photos, videos, etc.) that display learning in action are strongly encouraged.

To submit your entry, complete the Share Your Story form by April 1. Winners will be selected on April 15, and the winning story will be published on ReadWriteThink.org before the end of April.

Entries will be judged on creativity and appropriate implementation of ReadWriteThink materials. Final decisions will be made by the ReadWriteThink editorial staff. Submission of a Community Story does not guarantee publication.
