ReadWriteThink couldn't publish all of this great content without literacy experts to write and review for us. If you've got lessons plans, activities, or other ideas you'd like to contribute, we'd love to hear from you.

"While I love what ReadWriteThink offers the pre-service and practicing teachers with whom I work on a daily basis, I am particularly excited by the increasing number of activities and ideas it offers for parents and caregivers. A number of these activities can help families find fun ways to make reading and writing a part of their everyday home lives and support the idea of literacy as a life-long activity!"
Cathy Fleischer teaches courses in English education to pre-service and practicing teachers at Eastern Michigan University, where she also serves as co-director of the Eastern Michigan Writing Project, coordinates a long-standing teacher research group, and co-directs the Family LIteracy Initiative. Professor Fleischer also serves as special imprint editor for NCTE's Principles in Practice series. She is the author of many articles and five books, the most recent entitled Writing Outside Your Comfort Zone: Helping Your Students Navigate Unfamiliar Genres, co-authored by high school teachers Sarah Andrew-Vaugan.
